well shit. damn that body shot hurt like no other and damned if I fell into his choke, and well fight is over. I never meant to get all emotional in the interview after the fight but when he asked me if I am still relevant it got me thinking. I could hear the crowd and boy I have to tell you it was loud and really started to move me inside that cage. Thus the F bomb at the end, I guess I was saying that to myself just happened to be out loud. There is nothing but doubt running through my mind, wondering if I am hanging on to long or am I really just at the point of turning things around. I do feel great when I am getting prepared, just had so many things going against me this time it was tough to get away for a good solid two months to give myself the best chance of winning. I do not know where I am gonna go from here and I do not know if you all just watched the last fight for lil evil. I know this I have battled all they put in front of me and I know I have always tried to do my best out there. I have been open and honest for the most part when talking and answering any question asked. I love this sport and I have loved watching it grow and become bigger and bigger as each month passes. I guess it is time to just go home and figure out where to go next. I can say this it has been an honor to fight in front of all of you who have taken the time watch and all of you who take the time to come on here and say whats up. I wish you all the best in the world. again my apologies to my family, my camp at AMC and to my fans.

Wow is all I have to say. I am a long time friend of Jens and am disguisted by your ego and ignorance. Who the hell are you? The person who said "there is always one asshole in the crowd" is right. You are one miserable individual and I am sure your life reflects such. Glad you know so much about what was in the contract and I don't think Jens was ever asking for your sympathy. You are pathetic.
Even if you do not like watching someone fight you do not have to be such an ass.
Everyone reading... Whenever someone says: "I'm gonna be honest" it means you were just lied to and you are about to hear another lie.
Ah, well there's always one asshole in the crowd. Thanks for standing up and shouting it out. You know ZERO about MMA or Jens or being a human being, I call bullshit on you winning $5000 on the fight as well. Sorry, Mr. Anonumous your life is so far in the shitter. Hopefully, you'll turn things around, good luck with that.
I didn't get to see your fight unfortunately but I hope you don't take this loss to hard. Your circumstances were far from what's really needed to compete at that level. I hope to see you make a full recovery physically, mentally and emotionally and I look forward to watch you fight because you love to fight. Win or lose you're my favorite fighter and I hope to see you again, but if not good luck in any future endeavors.
your my heroe and idle i have always looked up to you. your the reason for me getting into this sport. its a tuff loss no doubt about it but quiting is out of the question. what would everybody do without LIL EVIL? your a legend. my name is zach turner i live in portland oregon and im just 1 of millions who want to continue to cheer on our favorite fighter.dont quit man. it would kill us inside. come back strong and congrats to the new born.
I first saw you fight in the 1st match against uriah and since then i try to watch all your fights. I think you and uriah are in the top class of MMA fighters and never disapoint in entertaining the MMA world. I would hate to see you leave the cage but if you do thanks for all the good fights and class you brought us. Take care
Jens,
So sad to see things not go your way on Sunday!!! You're a no excuses guy, always awesome in victory and classy in defeat. I'm so sorry your "relavence" was questioned in that post-fight interview. Definitely in poor taste. F that is right!!! You are a true warrior with more heart than anyone. I wish you the best in *EVERYTHING* you do. And as long as you are fighting, I will be watching!!!!!!!
Much love from NJ
Melissa
The "still relevant" question blew my mind. What kind of moronic question is that? Granted, it was a tough loss but you're still one of the top fighters in your weight class. You should have told the interview to f-off right there.
I love watching you fight, so I really hope that you don't hang it up.
Keep your chin up, man.
-Slade
Dear Jens,
I have been one of your fans and have been following your fights ever since I got into MMA. Anyways yes you did lose 3 fights in a row... BUT, please do not go out like this and look past the roadblocks. I know you probably have more issues going on outside the ring and you have your hustle you have to take care of, but I really do believe you still have what it takes... Even though you lost 3 times in a row don't feel so shitty and don't leave like this.
Your long time fan,
Andrew
don't quit dog you're a warrior
Jens you are such an inspiration to me and all the things you have battled inside and outside the cage automatically makes you the baddest ass on the planet in my book, i dont care what anyone says. I know what it is like to battle the toughest of personal demons, and to hear your story and how much you have overcome is just unbelievable and thank you for being such an inspiration. As for my opinion on the fight, you looked great you just got caught with the body shot and fell into a guillotine, we all get caught, no need for an apology. I really hope to see you in the cage again, but for any reason you are not i just want to say thank you for all of your amazing fights, being such an inspiration, and teaching me what it truly means to be a warrior in life.
I've been a big fan of your for a very long time jens and if i thought you didn't have it anymore i wouldn't just tell you a fucking lie. but i think you looked improved in a lot of ways and your def. going the right direction!!! I swear man i think your def. doing what you should have been for the last couple years in your recent fights!!!You got fucking caught.. who cares man. as a boxer, i know what body shots feel like. you have fought no one but the best fighters in the world and have no reason to doubt yourself! lenard garcia, i think will best brown and faber both. so that wasn't nothing to be ashamed of.. i'm behind you not just as a fan. but someone who can see what your capable of now.. i think your more dangerous then ever! like you said before. your legend status sucks because you get no fights but the top in the world! look what you did to cub and tell me your not revelent in the devision! i think its not the old jens back. i think your a new and improved jens. you know it too! don't fucking quit now man..
My wife and I got into MMA just over a year ago and after buying and watching a few seasons of TUF, including yours, we became INSTANT fans of you! You are such a humble, kind, and BadA** fighter and we love you man! You are COMPLETELY relavent, and there is no reason you cant pull a Couture and fight well into your 40's. Please dont lose hope man! Enjoy your baby, train hard, and let us have the pleasure of watching you in the near future!!!
All our best Jens,
Jesse and Paige Ausec
Don't quit Jens! We love you!!!!!!!!!!!!
do not appologize, your fans will b with you win or lose!
-ja
There's no need to feel bad or to apologize. You are still #1 in our books. You have had many things take place in the last few months and sometimes $hit happens. I know that are many fans like myself that still stand behind you, as I said in my last post, take some time for you and enjoy your family. I am not sure what your are like as a friend, but I met you and your wife in Fl, you took the time to say hello and you talked to my son( he still has the hat), Jens you touched our hearts. I will be waiting for your return and you will always have a place in my family's hearts.
Take Care...
Jessie
Jens, I met you in Rockford,Il and when I left the fights I said to all my friends "Jens is a cool fucker, down 2 earth and it was awesome to met and get pictures with him! You have done so much for this sport and helped put it on the map in a big big way! Im a huge fan of MMA and you are one of my favorite fighters by far!! I would like to see back in the octagon, but if you and your family decide its time to move on, thank you for all that you have done and the memories!! Its been a blast watching you kick ass and put this sport where it should be and thats at the top!!! I hope you come back, cuz you are not done kicking ass bro! Good luck and congrats on the new lil evil!
Jens, I just read this post over at Cagepotato and was completely stunned. You are one of my all-time favorite fighters. I love your attitude, your style and think nothing but the best of you. You have provided the world of MMA with so much more than great fights. It is my personal belief that your time has not yet come to retire. However, if you do decide to hang up the gloves (either now or in the future) I give you my best wishes.
-CWR
BTW, I would still pay to see Lil' Evil fight any day and I know I am not alone.
It's not your time to leave yet Jens, you deserve to go out on your own terms.
You've already given a lot to this sport, thanks.
You are the man jens, always loved your fights, fighting spirit, and attitude. Much respect if you want to stop but would love to see you fight again too.
If you're winning all of your fights, you're fighting the wrong people.
None of your losses have an ounce of shame in them, you've fought the absolute best in the world. You walked through Cub Swanson like he was a kid, were the first guy to go to a decision against Faber (whom many consider to be the best 145er in the world) and this was all recent. Not the stuff that made you a legend, like record setting knockouts, defeating BJ Penn, or your record in Shooto.
Whatever you do, you are loved, respected and worshiped by fans and fighters everywhere.
Keep that head up my man. You are a phenominal fighter, and you are a class act, to boot. I would love to see you in that cage again, but however you are feeling, you know all of your fans support you 100%. Always will too. Hope to see you soon... Keep on keeping on brotha.
North Dakota Pulver War Wagon!
Jens- I do not know you nor do i know anything about you beyond fightin, but from the heart, determination, and the love that you have for fighting why give up? Why starting doubting yourself because an annoucer asks you if you are relevant? If you werent relevant you wouldnt be where you are today! You have great support from your fans and I am sure you have great support from your family, keep your head up, enjoy your children and do what is best for jens and your family, not what some dumb ass annoucer says to you. You are a great fighter everyone loves lil evil. You truly are an inspiration to people from all you have been through, we will support whatever decision you choose to make. Best of luck to you and your family.
Yes you are relevant! What a pathetic question that was. It's not what you do but who you are that makes a person relevant. Its sounds to me that you are a great husband, father, friend and role model. I wish you all the best for the future.
A new fan.

You see Jens! more then 70 responses in less the two days and they are all saying the same thing. People still love you, still believe you can fight and win, and still aggree that you are relavent.
Seventy-Eight Pulverites can't be wrong can they?
Brian13...dont forget to re-register at the other place, I miss you on there :(
It's no crime to be human. Do what you gotta do, we'll all be here waiting to root for you. When people still cheer for you, you're still relevant.
Jens-
My husband and I are huge fans. Watching you fight on Sunday was incredibly exciting, and although you lost, don't let it kill your spirit. It was DEFINITELY noticable that you have been training hard for this fight, and it appeared to me that in changing your style and form from the last fight, you did even better in this fight with Faber! Initially, you were doing fantastic. We thought for sure you had it. As with most great fighters, you just made a mistake that Faber was able to capitalize on for the win. Happens all the time. How do you think Faber lost his belt? In my opinion, I believe that you are and always have been an incredibly talented fighter, not only in the Octagon, but outside of it as well. You bring heart to this sport, which is why you are one of our favorite fighters.
We are behind you 100%, whatever your decision, we support you. Please know we will always be lifelong fans. However, I would beseech you to stay..Ultimate Fighting will not be the same without Lil Evil!! And as other people have commented, you will always be relevant in this sport..so keep your head held high. Every hero has to take a loss or two, but eventually they win out over all! Here's to you, our hero :)
Hey Jens. I think you are the man. I know you said the weight cut was difficult so maybe go to 155 in the WEC and fight guys there. You are an inspiration and I think you should hang on.
Really, what I think you should do is pitch to the WEC a TUF like tv series to promote 145 and 135ers so the fans know more about these guys. Otherwise, there are only 4 fighters per card that anyone has ever heard of. I think you would be a great coach of one of the teams and have faber be the other coach. I would watch it for sure.
man you got so much support---Relevent?????
this should help prove something you already know but maybe was a little unsure of for just a momment....the fan tuen intoto see ya the take the ride with ya man the high when your on top and feel the pain when you stumble but we never give up on ya...never will we ever stop think and knowing your relevance to this sport ....we love you man get back at it and do what you do lil' one
I say again.

I pray for all about you. you, your wife, daughter, son, and your truly family. god bless you. always good luck.
from south korean fan.
ofcourse i definately enjoyed many of ur great victories in the past.
and ofcourse, we all believe that u stil have it, and u will continue to go forward.
to be honest, i became a big fan of you not by seeing u WIN, but it was actually a fight u lost to gomi that caught my attention.
i used to translate for f*ji TV for PR*DE related DVDs.
and saw many many back stage clips which ive translated for some years.
honestly, not many people have the heart u have.
and what people say on stage and real life often differ.
its a show some people said, some where more than honest about their egos. and ego alone.
but u, u are real, before and after the fight,
loving what u do, and doing what u doing makes u some one like me to truely come to respect!
hope u know that there are world of people behind u.
looking forward to cheering you again.
ur fan from japan.
Your break down is quite understandable. I hope you figure out things and if you choose to fight again, you kick some ass!
You are a real warrior. I know you will keep fighting, and I know you have a lot more fights in you.
The post-fight interview was emotional and touching. You are a classy guy and role model for everyone.
Jens you are a beast! Please don't hang up the gloves yet its not like you have lost to nobodies you lost to BJ Penn (maybe the best fighter in the world) Uriah Faber x2( probably the best 145er out there right now) and Leonard Garcia by a fluky type punch. You are what MMA is all about a great fighter and a ever greater person. You just hit a bad patch of luck just keep punching Jens cuz the sun is always gunna rise and its always gunna set. You can beat any 145 at anytime just hang in there. WAR LIL EVIL
This is coming from an old military guy that fights for training and love of the game... Take this for what it is worth to you, Brother... YOU owe no apologies... You are and always will be relevant to not only the sport, but to those of us that have watched and learned from you... winning or losing in the cage, you have always been an inspiration... You take with you the love and admiration of many of us out here no matter what you decide to do... Stand tall and proud, Brother... and remember, Family First!
Jens, I can't say it better than anyone else has already said it. You're a warrior in life, both in the cage and out, and you inspire all of us. Honestly, I've never sent an e-mail to a fighter or commented on his site, but I just had to be one of these voices of support. For all of us who commented here, there are thousands out there who haven't but are thinking the same things. You'll never know us all, but we'd give you the shirt off our back.
You're a champion always. Do what makes you happy, and we'll be right behind you.
Man you are a great fighter and you are the kind of guy that I like to watch fight. I don't think you are done yet.
But when that time comes...dude you were an awesome coach on the show and that was obvious when your guys dominated.
I think it was impossible to get mentally ready for a fight of that caliber with all that has been going on in your life.
You were the reason a lot of us watch the WEC.
Jens, I have so much respect for you. You are never afraid to let us know what you are feeling and that makes you a giant of a man. I love watching you fight win or lose, and will continue to watch you fight. Take some time if you need it, be with your family and take care of your loved ones. When you fight again and I did say WHEN, we will be here chanting LIL' EVIL from the top of our lungs! God bless!
you'll end up getting your ass kick again
Jens would own you. FUCK YOU HATER. Go Evil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay Borat...good one. Unfortunately it's kicked not kick...past tense. Which is exactly what you'll be...the internet pussy...a fucking memory. Don't fuck with MMA or it's ICONS. We'll find you. We got software to trace you. Hope your punk ass doesn't get tracked.
JENS PULVER 4EVER.
No apologies needed thats for sure.. u said it, get your deserved 2 months, then do what u do best, BATTLE.
keep coming at them. I Feel for ya, really do, its gotta hurt and be more of a mind F***, dont quit period. LIL EVIL does things for us that we cannot. Everyone has to take a step back from time to time to re-evaluate. Isnt everyday in its self a battle? Wish you the best.
Look forward to cheering for you.
your my hero
I've watched you fight and supported you for years not just because of your exciting in-ring/cage style but also because you've proven time and time again that you're a genuine class act and a true credit to the sport.
Whatever your decision and wherever you go from here you've made a fan for life in me and, I'm sure, many others and you'll always have our support.

Jens, what up boss.. Just so it's clear, no matter what the circumstance, people tune in to watch you fight. You're Jens Pulver, one of the greatest mixed martial artists ever. Some people have a great fight, but you have always been a GREAT fighter, with amazing gifts that u've earned. You have it IN and OUT of the cage. You are an inspiration to the world, and that is a beautiful gift. Much much respect.
