Well SH#T, is about all I got to say about that fight. Props to Leonard for the win. I am not sure where to start but I figured I should probably write and tell you that read this I am sorry for the performance. I felt great mentally and physically but things happen. I am very confident in my new training and in no way want this fight to reflect the things I am learning. Matt Hume is a great instructor and AMC is a great place to train, EndZone athletics as well. Its just gonna take some time to get the new ideas and game plans down, if I could learn it all and have it second nature in five weeks then damn that would be sweet but I assure you I am getting it all dialed in pretty quick and I know the final outcome will be worth it. I never had the ability to have amature fighting and all that, I came into the sport and just started throwing, Its tough cause I have that legend status and theres no real way to lay low and go unnoticed while I try to learn. So I just get out there and keep every fight exciting and hope at the end of the day I will still have a job. This fight hurt to lose cause I feel I let my New coach and team down. My life has always been an up and down roller coaster, but sometimes I want off the ride and just hang at the top once again. I don't want to ramble on about it all because well thats boring. I thank all of you who take the time to read and post comments and appreciate all of your support. Have a great set of holidays, I will be laying low and waiting the arrival of my Son Karson (just a few weeks away). Catch up with me if you play on PC, Call of Duty 5 the server is called toastsuckerpunch ent. the IP 72.37.228.195 I am tagged Rumina in game. Be good all.

Jens,
What an outstanding fighter you are, I am a big fan.. What happend with you and the UFC? I honestly think WEC fits you better, and gives you the opp. to suceed in what you do!! But I do feel that once I get into the game you will have someone that will finally test you and show the same amount of heart as you! I am trying to make my way into the MMA field, as it is my true calling.. Any suggestions on what would be the best way to go about it? Also I need a training partner and a training camp, any suggestions?
Congrats on your new child.
Hey Mr. Pulver,
I don't know if you believe in this sorta stuff, but that WEC event was whack from the start. It just seemed like it was cursed. With the delay because of the hurricane, and then on the actual night alot of strange stuff happened. There were so many strange occurrences, like in the first fight of the night, Nissen (was it?) was winning but slipped on a high kick and got destroyed.
Take your fight and then Urijah's. Just really, really strange stuff.
You did well against Urijah the first time, but I think you're going to need a Gameplan that is going to catch him by surprise.
Goodluck bud
listen, you gotta fight the fight if you wanna play the game. the heart is connected to the brain, wired metaphysically through determination and OOOOHHH SNAP! KARSON ALL UP IN THIS HOUSE!!!!! well wishes to your family, and congrats to your lady too!
WAR KARSON!
Well Sh#t is right now it time to forget the past and move on just as you have always done in your life. Hope to see some comments from you soon about how you are feeling for Faber 2. I have my floor seats and will be there to support you next month in San Diego. Lets see that Lil Evil left land square on Faber's chin. I know you can do it. Good luck Jens
Well your fans will be with you every step a the way Jens. Chins get tagged, everyone gets ko'd. It's nothing to apologize for. Glad to read trainings going well and I wish you nothing but the best with the lil guy.
Can't wait to see you rematch Urijah. SD is my hometown so I'll be there rootin ya on!
Cheers
-Matt
Hi Jens.
I'm another fan of yours and wish you nothing but the best.
For my 2¢ (as a fan, .. probably what it's worth) I would like to say this; don't worry about making your fights exciting... focus on moving your head more and getting hit less.
I have been a fight fan for over 20 years and the worst thing to watch is a fighter in the later stages of a career trying to utilize old fighting styles instead of utilizing the knowledge and experience gained throughout their careers to adapt to a newer successful style better suited to their years. A good contrast of both MO's would be Vinny Pazienza and George Foreman. Pazienza tried to be like the old Vinny and ended up with poor results, while Foreman adapted a new style and become the oldest person to win the HW title. Foreman was a more patient, at ease fighter that allowed his younger, less experienced opponents come in all hyped up and make mistakes, then take advantage of those mistakes.
I think, if you concentrate on a more tactile approach, you will find more success and the fights will be exciting on their own based on your natural instinct to engage.
To provide another example; Chris Leben always talks about providing exciting fights and sacrifices himself to achieve them. Had he been more tactile in fighting Bisbing, he could have won, or at least come closer to winning. Instead, he just plodded ahead, getting punched in the face trying to bait Bisbing into an 'exciting' fight. Leben will never achieve a title with that philosophy.
Jens, you don't have anything else to prove to the fans. Don't worry about making the fights exciting. They will be. This last run at a title should be for you. Focus on your game plan; focus on a mental trick to use in the ring, or command from your corner to reign yourself in when getting away from the plan while in the ring.
On a more comical note; you better stop doing that stuff to your head before fights, I've noticed that fighters with odd hair cuts don't seem to do too well in the ring. I'm not sure if it's a bad omen or what but.. could be some bad ju ju. Maybe just go with a buzz the next time around. ;)
Good luck!
First off congrats with the baby, theres nothing like bringing a child into this world.
Secondly, shit happens, u got caught, as any fighter does but i kno ur gunna come back twice as hard against faber to give us fans another great war. u r a F****** warrior, every fight u put on is nothing short of astounding. ur the realest.
Bring the f****** pain Jens
nd im not gunna take down ur server name i dnt want to have to savage you in some call of duty!!
*Just Jokin*
i'm new to MMA and UFC and all of this. I've always avoided it because it seemed so brutal. I caught some reruns on SpikeTV one night---the one with you and Penn. I automatically didn't like him, but something about you really struck me. All I can say is I've been doing a lot of research about fighters and UFC, WEC and this style of fighting, and read about your background and you are amazing. I know this sounds like stupid girly drivel, but I can't say I give a poo if it does.
Enjoy your holidays and I look forward to seeing you fight Faber in January. If you don't fall into his chin dimple, I feel sure you'll win. Congrats on your new baby coming soon!
" I've always avoided it because it seemed so brutal"
Too many people do. Are you a chick by any chance? Please take no offence…I'm just curious.
Yes, I am a chick...a girl, a gal, a lady, a woman, what have you. The early days of UFC was just painful to watch. I have a hard time watching someone get the blood pounded out of them, but I'm getting used to it now ;) I have done some kickboxing for fitness, some Muay Thai and also roller derby, so I'm not opposed to contact or smacking peeps or aggressive sports, it's just the ear splattering blood gushing jaw breaking shiznat that turned me off at first. I rarely take offense to anything, so no sweat.
Jens, you are more than great fighter, you are a great peron.. You have alot of talent that people appreciate more than you know!! To say sorry for a loss is not needed, as all your fans know you will never back down.
I have the great respect for you - you have such a fantastic technique - I know that you have gone far already, but I do believe that you will go further...
I can honsestly say that you are my favourite fighter of all time - you have so much heart, your personality shines through before and after your fights.. and the best thing is - if you win or lose, your not a arse about it, you are a true sportsman.
(and can I just say - your FANTASTIC at ping pong!! hee hee I think UFC 5 was the BEST ever!! I really enjoyed it!!)
This sounds like Im obsessed (with the UFC... I suppose I am lol - Female gone crazy over fighting, strange lol)
Good luck with your new son, I wish you all the best for future personally and your future fights, and I hope one day I will travel to America for the land down under - to see you kick some ass =)
Warmest regards,
Tunney
a fights a fight, win or lose I will always be a fan, for a lot more than than your record or an exciting fight. Its your strength of character and the way you treat your fans, your ability to be an inspiration after all the shit you've had hurled at you that has earned you that.
Keep the head up and come back kickin ass mate.
Mark

I flew a many hours to see you, and maybe the fight was not want either of us wanted it was a thrilling experience to get to actually meet you and your fiance. From my family to yours, Jens & Kannika and Karson we wish health and happiness. One last thing I will be in San Diego in Jan. with my boy, we will be routing for you!!
Jessie
Fight means very little when u have a new addition to the family on the way
Jens,
I am equally angry because I was actually in Ft Lauderdale on business the night of the fight and was not aware that it was at Seminole Hard Rock I thought it was in Vegas. BRILLIANT!! Keep working hard I am certain you will prevail. You are appreciated by so many more for who you are and how you carry yourself than Wins or Losses. I would have to say that you and Rich Franklin are the two fighters that display the most charachter of all the MMA fighters my brother and I follow. If I can ever help you or yournger fighters I runa web hosting company they can park there sites with me if they want to for free. tabraham@deltaforcetech.com
Enjoy the Holidays and congrats on your new arrival!
Best Regards
Tom Abraham

Hey man,
It's great when you post on here. I had my first son a year ago and he's amazing. We had some scares through the process, but overall it was great and he's a healthy boy. I'll be looking forward to hearing about your new little man!
I know that youll be back and rise to the top it will take some time but it will come all you have to do is work hard and most importantly never give up
Sucks that you lost but man just come back strong. Good luck with your kid and have a good holiday season
let us know when your next fight is. i'm sure it won't be until next year, but we all want to still watch you throw down. congrats on the new baby coming!
Hi Jens, I met you in Minneapolis Sept of 2007. It was such a treat to meet you! I think you are a great fighter and have the heart of a lion. Best of luck with the arrival of your son. I look forward to watching you fight in the future.
Maybe I'll catch ya gaming some time. I'm a UT3 girl myself.
See ya,
MN Chic
Don't worry about the loss; your fans still love you. WEC will never get rid of you unless they get rid of us first. Good luck with your new son. Hope to see you back in the ring soon.
i've been following the fight game for almost 10 years now, and can't believe how much its changed. it is probably the fastest evolving sport i'll ever witness in my lifetime. this weekend showed proof of that in watching brock lesnar win the gold in only his 3rd UFC fight, against probably the biggest stud ever to get in the cage. chuck liddel was mowing through guys for years, now we've seen him knocked out twice(rampage and evans), and out pointed by jardine. matt hughes, like yourself is a legend, but that wasn't the case against gsp and alves. i remember when you beat bj penn, and when the decision was announced bj just hung his head. you broke the spirit of a man that was considered unbeatable. the ufc NEVER shows replays of that fight because they don't want there poster lightweight boy to be shown in that bad form. it took him years to come back to be the phenom he is. this fighting game doesn't make a lot of sense, its people beating each other up, thats it. someone wins, someone loses, period. jon lewis learned that in like 10 seconds. you've learned it as well. you'll always be a legend/hall of famer, whatever title someone wants to give you. i mean the 1st lightweight champ will always be that. pulver fans are die hard and will never go away, and cheer you on regardless of belts, or past losses, you'll always have that. most people don't have fans, you are blessed to have so many. all i have to say is don't feel like you let anyone down, its just wasted energy. forget all the BS, go and train your ass off, and beat some heads in. there is so much left to do. we're like the same age. we're not old, just a little older. we're not slow, just a little slower. but you;ll still kick someones ass, and have fans watching you do it and cheering you on, so lets go.
What? No more WoW? :P Not even to make up a DeathKnight!?
Good luck with your training, it's always good to learn new things weither you get to use them or not, you're still growing your arsenal. As far as the fight goes, it's a FIGHT! you can't win them all and Garcia is no slouch. It was still exciting! Bring back the "lil evil" song!
1.it sucks to hear you hurting. i don't have the the words, except the obvious- matt hume and time. hell, aren't you the one who nicknamed him the wizard?
2.i have no idea how contracts go, but i think micah miller and swanson went and fought other places and wec was fine. you are right about legend status, so is there a way to fight at some smokers, to try the new style out, or is your name too big to do that?
3.happy holidays. prayers for safe karson delivery. invert your mouse. PEACE!
