i've been following the fight game for almost 10 years now, and can't believe how much its changed. it is probably the fastest evolving sport i'll ever witness in my lifetime. this weekend showed proof of that in watching brock lesnar win the gold in only his 3rd UFC fight, against probably the biggest stud ever to get in the cage. chuck liddel was mowing through guys for years, now we've seen him knocked out twice(rampage and evans), and out pointed by jardine. matt hughes, like yourself is a legend, but that wasn't the case against gsp and alves. i remember when you beat bj penn, and when the decision was announced bj just hung his head. you broke the spirit of a man that was considered unbeatable. the ufc NEVER shows replays of that fight because they don't want there poster lightweight boy to be shown in that bad form. it took him years to come back to be the phenom he is. this fighting game doesn't make a lot of sense, its people beating each other up, thats it. someone wins, someone loses, period. jon lewis learned that in like 10 seconds. you've learned it as well. you'll always be a legend/hall of famer, whatever title someone wants to give you. i mean the 1st lightweight champ will always be that. pulver fans are die hard and will never go away, and cheer you on regardless of belts, or past losses, you'll always have that. most people don't have fans, you are blessed to have so many. all i have to say is don't feel like you let anyone down, its just wasted energy. forget all the BS, go and train your ass off, and beat some heads in. there is so much left to do. we're like the same age. we're not old, just a little older. we're not slow, just a little slower. but you;ll still kick someones ass, and have fans watching you do it and cheering you on, so lets go.
